ALP 2017 Muscle Computer Interface
A new kind of human computer interface using electrical activity of muscles, known as Muscle computer Interface (muCI) has been developed by researchers. Muscle computer interface is a user interface in which user employs electrical activity of their muscle as an input while they are executing various tasks. From the past, EMG signals have been successfully used in several fields such as medicine, understanding neurophysiological disorders (e.g. neuropathy, myopathy etc.), development of prosthetic arm , fatigue detection devices etc. Muscle computer interface has a high potential for various applications to develop muscular activity based interactive devices for different purposes.
