The rapid development of modern logistics has generated over one hundred million parcels each day in mainland China. The parcel number is continuously increasing and has posed overwhelming pressures on parcel scanning and delivering. Existing solutions include automatic parcel-scanning-and-moving robots and there are autonomous robots designed for parcel delivery in limited communities. However, currently there are massive CAINIAO parcel stations relying on manual parcel scanning, organizing, and checking. To address the problem, this project intends to design a mixed reality-based wearable system that is capable of highly efficient parcel scanning and organization.
