Week 6 is the ideation week for my theme’s project! Last week we were tasked to research up on Ceramics and possible texture we could work with on our final products! Hence this week, we are back with at least 5 sketches each!

Our sketches were no doubt of no match to ZJU’s Industrial Design students’ ideation sketches, but nonetheless, here’s a few of our sketches.

Aaaaaaaand,

We finally had some bonding together as a whole team! Our prof and TA s treated us to the more expensive banquet-style canteen on the third floor in ZJG campus! They ordered more than enough food for all us and yes! Food did not disappoint, it was great!!!!!!

Went out to explore more of ZJG campus’s back street for food! Despite the rain, we went out in search for an Indian+Thai restaurant! It was extremely difficult to locate because it was between rows and rows of apartments but we managed to find it in the end! Kudos to us being perseverant HAHA Turns out to be a well-decorated pretty restaurant.

While waiting for our food, we also made a new friend! He was also a student from ZJU, and he was from Britain! Took us awhile to guess because he’s british accent didn’t come off very strong! Sociable and friendly guy to chat with and we shared our experiences and adventures in Hangzhou/China with each other! We had a really nice chat!(:

All in all, week 6 was sort of a great start to our project!! Brainstorming for splendid ideas are never easy but nothing will hold us back! The excitement for actual hands-on clay making in weeks to come keeps us going yay!!

Regards, Hilda from Theme I
