This week, I took the long weekend to travel out of Hangzhou on a trip to Shanghai! It was the dragon boat festival(端午节）, which is a public holiday in China. Comparatively, Shanghai has a more urban landscape as compared to Hangzhou, with a greater density of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. I especially enjoyed Shanghai’s night cityscape, with the beautifully lit skyscrapers. Also famous for their 小笼包(Xiao long bao), I spent a good amount of my time in Shanghai travelling to various places to have the delicious 小笼包. I did not get to visit Shanghai’s Disneyland as there was not enough time and we anticipated there would be a huge crowd due to the holidays. I would definitely want to go there on my next visit to Shanghai!
