In the morning, I did laser cutting for my group for almost an hour. I feel bad for letting other users to wait for their turn to use the laser cutter, but I am glad that I am able to do the laser cutting without any errors. Laser Cutting can be quite tricky as the laser might not even cut through the work piece even if I have correctly set the recommended power and the speed of the laser.

Nevertheless, as I have done laser cutting quite a number of times in my own school, I still have confidence of doing the laser cutting without any errors or damage to the machine.

Next, in the afternoon, I assembled the parts from laser cutting together with my team and we managed to build the basic structure of the orbit robot. Here is the picture of the basic structure of the orbit robot. Apart from using the laser cutter, I have also used the drilling machine, the lathe machine, etc.

It is also a learning process as when we have the physical components ready, we realised that there are some design flaws that we made during our design process. I would say that the moral of the story is to think twice before executing the plan. This could reduce time taken for reaching a certain milestone and therefore, it contributes to the efficiency of the group.
