浙江大学 ( Zhejiang University), has 7 campus and now we are at 紫金港校园 ( Zijingang campus), which is the biggest among the 7. Since it’s just the first week, let’s start with something light and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the school.

The tall grey building you see in this picture is called the Eye of ZJU because from bird eyes’ view, the building resembles the shape of an eye.

Lessons have not officially started hence there’s a lot of free time. And no orientation is not what you would think it is. First, there’s no introduction around the school, until buddy day but only if you chose a plan that gives a tour in school. That also means don’t be afraid to ask for directions (in Chinese). The people here are all very nice and you will probably see as many foreigners as locals because you’re living in an international hostel. Second, you plan your own activities for the day. Unless told otherwise, you absolutely have no schedule. So before you come, better check out the places you want to go. Last, learn to cycle. It’s much faster and more convenient then walking.

We were in luck that our TAs contacted and had the time to hang out with us. Our TA introduced to hidden places in school which we wouldn’t have venture into. We also learnt many new fun facts about the school. After the walk we also enjoyed yummy food. Thank you TAs! We look forward working together with the team. We do not have full house yet, but above is our current team so stay tune!! 😊
Fun Fact of the Week

Locals call it 惰落街 because the whole street is full of food and cafes. 懒惰 is lazy in Chinese and 落 means lack behind hence the name. There’s a lot of bubble tea shops along this street. To all those bubble tea lovers, you can try a different one every day.
