On Day 6, we went to the Ford Resource and Engagement Center (FREC). Here we learnt about the local efforts being made to help Thailand be more sustainable. There were 2 organisations that were introduced to us. First, scholars of sustenance which is a non-profit that helps to distribute food surplus from hotels and supermarkets to those less fortunate in Thailand. And precious plastics which aims to make recycling plastic into a useful product more accessible to the masses.
After visiting the FREC centre, we went back to MUIC to consolidate the observations made for the many field trips. This was where we got to apply our experience doing our previous modules to note down our observation using AEIOU. It was something that we were able to share with the MUIC students. Having made listed down our observations we started to come up with problem statement before calling it a day.
