Bukhansan is a must-go if you are ever in Seoul during the autumn period. The best period to go in October when the leaves are just starting to change, so you get the whole spectrum of colours. The picturesque scenery is a good change of pace from the bustling urban jungle of Seoul.
Some of my exchange friends were talking about going for a trip to Bukhansan, so i asked if i could join them for the hike. The hike took roughly 3 hours to get to the peak, which was especially challenging given that we all had a long night out the day before. Make sure to bring some food so you can do a picnic once you reach the top! What could be better than having a kimbap while taking in the scenery? Also, bring a good jacket along for when you get to the top (it was roughly -3C and all i had was a thin hoodie).
