In May, a troupe of us took a six-hour westbound coach ride from Hangzhou to Huangshan, hoping to climb the supposed sickest sight in China.

Huangshan is known for its towering granite pillars, beautiful from far and imposing up close, and the views of the tops of clouds.

For anyone interested, we found that 3D2N is an optimal length of stay. Bring lots of water, for where there are tourists, there is bound to be overpriced bottled water.

This isn’t some camera depth-of-field trick. It really looks like that.
