Summer Holiday

There are no lessons this week as it is the summer holiday! In Finland, most locals will end up going to their cottages with their families, away from the cities just to chill and relax. As such, it is always during this time of the year where the city feels like a ghost town. You don’t see many people around, neither are most shops open and the once busy roads seem to be a thing of the past.

It was the same for us too. In our attempt to fit in like the local, we escape Helsinki to spend time with our family members. My family and I visited to other countries and cities, such as Iceland, Stockholm and Oslo in Norway. For Jocelyn, her family managed to get to have a view of the fjord in Norway, and she too went to Stockholm and also Copenhagen.

Since it is our Summer holiday, there is nothing much to write about.
