Buddy dayyy with our ZJU-buddy Rundong!! Hurrayy!

Woke up at 345am and began my climb up 老和山 to catch the sunrise…. the entrance was literally a small pathway located at the back of the campus library! Was slightly misty so couldn’t see very far, but ah well…. Then travelled down to the biggest temple grounds in Hangzhou to pay a visit to see the laughing Buddha on his birthday, which incidentally meant jostling with thousands of others just for a decent photo hahahha. Going up and down every hill to see every temple,
walk walk… until 脚酸。

The rest of the week was mostly spent on doing up our chair designs as part of the “Design Thinking and Expression” module, ended up using way more cardboard than the allocated 5 pieces each… but we did it! (albeit with a little help from our friends)
Also, had an introductory visit to Hushu Special School, where we would be conducting lessons for the next month or so as part of our CIP project! Communication with the kiddos is really challenging because frankly speaking….. I am still learning to understand them and vice versa. My full admiration for all the staff at the school, you can really sense the compassion that they have for the kids.
Was treated to a great lunch by our kindly professor running the “Music Emotion” theme, thanks prof! Quite excited to discover more that is in store for our theme curriculum….
Also, having really good weather these few days probably means more time to go out and have fun with the crew (below), which I’m looking forward to! (no more KTV plsss)
再见!
