A student colouring the worksheet that we have prepared.

There are two sections to this lesson. The first part was learning the spelling of the different shapes in English. In order to better facilitate the lesson, we introduced the Chinese character for each shape too.

The second part of the lesson was using the different shapes to form a picture. We cut out different shapes and the students will use glue and paste them on a template that we have made in advance. For example, the house is made up of squares and triangles. Trees are made up of triangles and rectangles. The children enjoyed the second activity more since it was more hands on.

“We come in many different shapes and sizes, and we need to support each other and our differences. Our beauty is in our differences.”  – Carre Otis
