Week 12 (12 – 18 August)

The second last week of lessons were dedicated to how user experience is integrated with business. The lecturer has invited 2 speakers to speak to us on topics like calm design and also design for AI. Frankly speaking, I enjoyed both guests’ presentation for they presented marvellous ideas and analyse them. It feels like I have learned quite a fare bit from them.

After both presentations, our lecturer cleverly integrate his topics into theirs, and the lesson flow was very smooth and interesting. This is honestly one of the best lessons conducted by this professor throughout the program.

All of that being said, both of us were also very excited by our upcoming trip.

Rovaniemi (16 – 18 August)

Overseas exchange is not just about studies; it is the time where we get to explore other parts in the world. To start it off, we decided to visit Northern Finland, Rovaniemi. This location is well known for its Santa Claus village. Some of the traditional food delicacies that we tried are as shown.

During this trip, we have also attempted to view the northern light. it is possible, but as we were there in August, chances of seeing them were really hard and expectedly, we headed back to our hotels. Of course, we are not giving up. We ended up going to the museum there, to see digitalize northern light and understand life at rtic. it was truly an eye-opener. this museum is also quite interactive; we enjoyed the visit. With that, we headed back to Helsinki, with the final week of school awaiting for us.
