Hello again!
This week was pretty eventful! Firstly on Monday, we visited the China Academy of Art as an ALP Cultural Event, and so we had the opportunity to view all the exhibits of final year projects.. here are some pictures!
Viewing all the exhibits made me think about what kind of projects I would like to undertake in the future. Software, hardware? What kind of purpose would I like to design my product for? I hope that one day I can create something that people enjoy and/or find good use in!!
Over the week, my theme was working hard for our project. Targeted towards children, we decided upon designing an app that plays appropriate BGM when an eBook is being read – this enhances their learning! We split tasks, and spent the time doing research, designing posters, creating a UI mockup, and also learning Swift from scratch! We made huge progress over the course of a few days, and I hope we can keep it up for the rest of ALP!
When the weekend finally came, I had the opportunity to travel to Suzhou together with some friends for a short trip! On saturday, we took the 高铁 (Fast Train) to Suzhou and we mainly visited 观前街 (Guan Qian Jie) for shopping and street food. Pictures!
On day 2, we visited “The Humble Administrator’s Garden”!
I had to leave Suzhou today because I’m visiting 湖墅学校 tomorrow! Looking forward to the first session with the children tomorrow – we are having a paper plane activity/competition!
