As we trod on into the second week of being in China, I participated in a one day CIP event with my fellow TFI LEaRN (Temasek Foundation Int’l Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking) programme scholars at Hushu special school. Hushu is a school dedicated to teaching students with special needs.

This time, we were there to aide in the running of their 5th Annual Sports Day event held in the school. Our duties there ranged from guiding the students to individual game venues, to cheering on the students as they participate in the games.

It was a thoroughly enriching experience. I had loads of fun watching the kids give their all in every single event they participated in. I’ll always remember the look of determination in the kids eyes as they went all out in striving for the best.
