Want to explore and learn more about Gothenburg and Sweden in general? What better way than to explore the city museum and dive into the deep history of how Gothenburg came about?

Museums are free for students to visit but you must display a valid Swedish student pass in order to gain free entry into the museum. You could either attain them from the school itself or purchase an ISIC card, an international student card that is valid for the majority of the countries in Europe.

Besides the Museum, Gothenburg is also known for its archipelago. There are several islands around the city that can be accessed via ferries that are included in the tickets found in the “Vasttrafik” app. So if you are more of a scenic person, do check them out, and take a break from the bustling city life.

If you are still unsure of where to go? I highly recommend a phone application called Wanderlog, which will suggest to you some of the must-visit places in Europe! Not only in Gothenburg but also in other parts of the world. This application is extremely useful for planning trips if you are intending to go on a short weekend vacation outside of Sweden.

Hope these tips help! Feel free to check out my other two posts which will help guide you during your time in Sweden. Most importantly have fun 🙂
