Touted as the future of plastic, FLAM – a fungal-like adhesive material – is strong, lightweight, inexpensive and most importantly, biodegradable.

Designed and fabricated by Associate Professor Stylianos Dritsas from Architecture and Sustainable Design and Assistant Professor Javier G. Fernandez from Engineering Product Development, this material is the result of a truly multi-disciplinary research endeavour at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
