Hello, I’m Khaled from Menofia University, Egypt, and I am from team Purple Power. I’m very happy to be in IDC Robocon 2015!
Today, every country was present at SUTD, and we began to finally meet all of the other students at breakfast. Thereafter, the week began with the Opening Ceremony in the Multi-Purpose Hall.
Next, the organisers took us on tours around the facilities, and we were able to see the amazing SUTD campus. The library was particularly interesting, and we are looking forward to work in the Fabrication Lab!
For the rest of the day, there were some important presentations which we received the information about the competition, met all of the other students from other schools, and the workshop safety training tests. Most importantly, we finally met our team!
We were able to start working with our robotics kit and brainstorm strategies for the robot. We are all excited for the next 2 weeks and ready to build our robot!
After the first day of workshop, we began exploring Singapore, with some of us going to Chinatown and other parts of the city. I believe that there are a lot to see over the next 2 weeks.
