There are about 1.3 billion vehicles in the world today, and this figure is expected to grow to 2 billion by the year 2050. So how can we make sure our increasing travel needs are sustainable in the long run?

In this episode of ‘SUTD Explains’, Associate Professor Lynette Cheah from SUTD’s Engineering Systems and Design shares with us insights into her research on sustainable transportation and what we can do at an individual level to make a difference.

Lynette leads the Sustainable Urban Mobility research group at SUTD which looks at reducing the environmental impacts of passenger and urban freight transport through data-driven models and tools.

More infomation on her research can be found here: https://mobility.sutd.edu.sg/. You can also check out SUTD’s research here: https://sutd.edu.sg/Research
